Australia’s first clinically proven natural product for the symptomatic relief of PMS is now available. Premular® is a unique product of Swiss research, containing a special extract of chasteberry (Ze 440). There is no other comparable product available in Australia.
PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) is thought to be caused by changes in hormone levels. Symptoms of PMS occur in the week before and up to a few days after a womans period starts. It affects as many as 30% of women of child bearing age, sometimes very severely.
Premular is recommended for the relief of premenstrual syndrome and menstrual symptoms. This includes menstrual pain, cramping and breast tenderness. Many of the symptoms of PMS are thought to be related to changes in prolactin levels. The positive effect of Premular is thought to be that it reduces levels of prolactin in the blood.
Premular is being launched to doctors on Saturday 16th February at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney as part of their Annual Hormone Update & Education Day 2002.
