PMS (Pre-menstrual syndrome)

Pre-menstrual syndrome is a collection of symptoms that may be experienced up to a week before the onset of a menstrual period. Symptoms may include bloating, breast tenderness, fluid retention, sugar cravings, teariness and irritability. Chronic PMS could indicate an underlying hormonal imbalance. Your health care professional can help identify causes and contributing factors and will be able to suggest ways of managing the symptoms of PMS.
