Menopause

At around midlife, women experience changes in their bodies that can be associated with menopause. Menopause is the natural & permanent cessation of ovulation and menstrual periods which usually marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years.

Hormone levels change during menopause and many women experience symptoms associated with lowered levels of oestrogen such as changes in the menstrual cycle, hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, mood swings and vaginal dryness.

Helpful hints

Regular exercise (1 hour per day minimum 3 days per week) can help reduce symptoms and is excellent for general health and wellbeing during mid-life and beyond. Include phytoestrogen foods in your daily diet including soy and linseed bread, soy milk, ground flaxseeds and tofu.

Avoid or lessen

The following things related to your diet and lifestyle could aggravate your symptoms:

  • alcohol and caffeinated drinks e.g. coffee and tea
  • diet containing too much refined carbohydrates/sugars
  • stress

If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms, ask your practitioner about the specifically clinically proven herbal product called Femular.

If you are stressed, take time out for yourself - enjoy a massage or other relaxing treatments - and ask your practitioner about the specifically clinically proven herbal product called Remotiv
